GA Aero v2

Georgia's aerospace exports in 2011 grew 31 percent to an all-time high of $5.75 billion. With the state's unique business assets, including 85,000 aerospace workers who have been rated as the nation's most productive, aerospace companies in Georgia are able to accelerate development and streamline their business processes.

More than 500 aerospace companies in Georgia—including Boeing, Bombardier, Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Pratt & Whitney, Raytheon, Thrush, Triumph Aerostructures and others—operate in a business climate where nearly half a billion dollars is spent annually on cutting-edge, university-backed engineering R&D, putting them in reach of the latest aerospace technologies.

AEROSPACE WORKFORCE & EDUCATION

Quick Start, the nation's top workforce development program, enables aerospace companies to scale their employee training needs at no cost, whenever and wherever they need. In addition, the Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology is the no. 2 ranked undergraduate and no. 4 ranked graduate aerospace engineering program in the U.S. Combined with strong engineering programs at Georgia's other universities and technical colleges, Georgia's aerospace workforce is well-trained and ready for the future of unmanned systems.

WARNER ROBINS

Georgia enjoys a close technology and industrial base development partnership with Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, one of three USAF Air Logistics Centers in the United States. Georgia companies and researchers also work in collaboration with USAF engineers on technology insertion programs to support the missions of Robins Air Force Base, the largest single industrial complex in Georgia. Robins AFB employs over 23,000 military, civilian and contractor personnel and is a global magnet for aerospace and defense logistics companies.
