During Governor Haslam’s administration, 68 projects have been announced in the Healthcare and Medical Devices sector. These projects have created 12,969 new jobs with investment greater than $1.3 billion.

Tennessee ranks second in the nation in exports of medical equipment and supplies, with a total of $3.34 billion in 2016. Our state’s exports in the sector have grown by 26 percent since 2010. Tennessee’s largest export partners in this sector include Belgium, Singapore, Japan, China and The Netherlands, accounting for 58.7 percent of the sector’s exports.
