The U.S. textile industry includes about 10,000 companies at approximately 25,000 sites with annual sales totaling $65 billion. The industry has become more concentrated with 180 company sites having annual sales over $100 million (EACH??). Total U.S. textile and apparel GDP was $40.7 billion in 2005 according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.
