International Company Selects Charles City, Iowa
The Iowa Economic Development Board awarded a $924,000 award from the GIVF to CGS Tires US, Inc., to support 154 of the 192 total jobs to be created as the company brings an agricultural and industrial tire manufacturing facility to Charles City (Iowa).
It represents the first manufacturing facility in North America for parent company CGS, based in the Czech Republic.
This $43.8 million project reconfigured the former Winnebago Industries manufacturing facility to accommodate the production of market radial tractor tires, harvester tires, among other tire products. Official opening occurred in April 2012.
