In Umea, Sweden-based Alö AB, one of the world’s leading suppliers in the agricultural machinery industry, opens operations in Greenville County. The $6 million investment creates 44 new jobs over the next five years in steel fabrication, product assembly and distribution for the U.S. market. Alo Group CEO Niklas Astrom proudly announced “Following an extensive evaluation, we selected Greenville County, SC, as the ideal location for our company to further strengthen service to our customers and reinforce our commitment to the North American market. We look forward to becoming part of the thriving business community in Greenville County.”

DHL Supply Chain, a leader in contract logistics and part of Deutsche Post DHL Group, will open in 1Q 2020 the 1st phase of its new distribution and warehousing park in St. George, SC. The company’s $100 million investment is projected to create approximately 450 new jobs.

DHL Real Estate Solutions (RES) is a standalone product of DHL and one of the largest developers of property solutions in the logistics industry. The company’s integrated approach provides a single point of contact, ensuring that building design, racking and building systems are all coordinated at the onset of the design process. The company has purchased 125 acres, now called DHL Commerce Park, in St. George, S.C., to construct three new buildings, totaling 1.7 million square feet.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project. A $1,000,000 Set Aside grant was also awarded to Dorchester County to assist with costs associated with the project. “This investment in Dorchester County by DHL Supply Chain is further proof that South Carolina is an important hub for international business. These 450 new jobs will make a big impact on the Low country community, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this great company here” said Governor Henry McMaster, when announcing this DHL investment. DHL Supply Chain provides services to a variety of sectors including automotive, consumer, energy and chemicals, engineering and manufacturing.


KV Final, a Czech developer and producer of metal parts for the automotive industry, located its new operations in Spartanburg County. The company’s $2.5 million investment is projected to create approximately 50 new jobs during its first phase of operation. The Czech company is a premiere manufacturer and supplier of stamped, machined and welded parts and assemblies for the automotive industry. With existing locations in China and the Czech Republic, the company’s new Spartanburg County plant features welding, clinching and degreasing processes, as well as local customer support.
