RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that IDEMIA, the global leader in Augmented IdentityTM for an increasingly digital world, will relocate its North American Identity & Security headquarters from Billerica, Massachusetts to Reston, Virginia in Fairfax County. Virginia successfully competed with Washington, D.C. and Maryland for this project, which will create more than 90 new jobs.

 

~ Company to increase production at manufacturing facility, create 25 new jobs ~

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that McAirlaid’s, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Germany-based McAirlaid’s Vliesstoffe GmbH, will invest $7.8 million to increase production at its manufacturing facility in Franklin County. Virginia successfully competed with Germany for this project, which will create 25 new jobs.

“Since the construction of its first and only U.S. manufacturing facility more than a decade ago, McAirlaid’s has flourished in Franklin County, and we are thrilled that this global manufacturer has chosen to reinvest in the Commonwealth,” said Governor Northam. “With over 10,000 people entering the Roanoke Region’s workforce each year from higher education institutions such as Virginia Tech, Roanoke College, and Virginia Western Community College, McAirlaid’s will continue to benefit from the steady pipeline of manufacturing talent available in Franklin County.”

~ Press Glass to invest $43.55 million to establish first Virginia manufacturing operation ~

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Press Glass, the largest independent flat glass processing operation in Europe, will invest $43.55 million to establish a 280,000-square-foot manufacturing operation in Henry County. Press Glass represents the first company to locate in the county’s Commonwealth Crossing Industrial Park. Virginia successfully competed against North Carolina for the project, which will create 212 new jobs.

Press Glass represents the first company to locate in the county’s Commonwealth Crossing Industrial Park. Virginia successfully competed against North Carolina for the project, which will create 212 new jobs.

RICHMOND - On January 16, 2019, Governor Ralph Northam of Virginia announced that Klöckner Pentaplast will invest $25 million to expand its global production capacity for pharmaceutical and medical device packaging films at its manufacturing facility in Louisa County. Virginia successfully competed with Ohio for the project, which is expected to result in 34 new jobs.

RICHMOND - On January 17, 2019, Governor Ralph Northam announced that Anord Mardix (USA), Inc., a leading global producer of power distribution and protection equipment, will invest $907,500 to establish its second manufacturing facility in Henrico County. The investment will allow the company to augment production of power infrastructure components to its North American data center clients, supporting new and projected growth. Virginia successfully competed for this expansion project, which will create 51 new jobs.

~ Monogram Foods to invest $30 million in fourth manufacturing operation expansion ~

MARTINSVILLE, VA —Governor Ralph Northam today that Monogram Food Solutions, LLC, a Memphis-based manufacturer of value-added meats, will invest $30 million to expand its manufacturing operation, Monogram Snacks, in Henry County. The company will expand its product lines to accommodate new and expanding contracts, which will create 300 new jobs.
