Fritz Winter North America LP celebrated on opening phase one of its iron casting foundry and manufacturing facility in Franklin, Kentucky a large-scale project producing brake rotors and brining about 200 new jobs to Southwest Kentucky, serving also as the company’s new US headquarters.

The German-owned parent company, Fritz Winter Eisengiesserei GmbH & Co. KG in Stadtallendorf will grow its investment to about $194 million with this expansion and the number of employers could surpass 300. This company is a global leader in the automotive supply industry and supplied the American market from Germany for more than 50 years. It serves the international car and truck industry and has developed a competitive advantage in lightweight and material-specific design. The family-owned company currently employs 3,700 people worldwide.

~ Monogram Foods to invest $30 million in fourth manufacturing operation expansion ~

MARTINSVILLE, VA —Governor Ralph Northam today that Monogram Food Solutions, LLC, a Memphis-based manufacturer of value-added meats, will invest $30 million to expand its manufacturing operation, Monogram Snacks, in Henry County. The company will expand its product lines to accommodate new and expanding contracts, which will create 300 new jobs.

Swedish Match, a smokeless tobacco products manufacturer, expands its Owensboro, Kentucky production facility with a more than $40.9 million investment and create 36 full-time jobs. The investment brings a 34,000-square-foot expansion of its current facility and the purchase of new equipment for the production for ZYN, a smokeless and spitless tobacco-derived nicotine pouch. Webasto Roof Systems Inc. marked its 20-year anniversary in Lexington, Kentucky announcing that it will add a new production line with a $15.2 million investment, creating 183 jobs in this area. The line will manufacture high-tech, electronically tintable all-glass panorama roof systems for luxury vehicle marques. The 572-employee Kentucky campus, which includes dedicated space for an employee training “dojo,” is a subsidiary of the German Webasto Group a global innovative systems partner to almost all automobile manufacturers and among the industry’s top 100 suppliers as ranked by Automotive News.

New ElringKlinger plant to open in Fort Wayne

Dettingen-based automotive supplier ElringKlinger is expanding its production capacities for thermal and acoustic shielding systems in the United States. It is planning to open a new facility in Fort Wayne, as part of which up to 150 new jobs will be created by 2022.

Hexa Ingenieros, a Spanish engineering services company focused on designing and implementing automation process control and industrial computing services, is entering the U.S. marketplace and establishing its U.S. headquarters in Missouri. The company will operate as Hexa Engineers in the U.S.

Hexa Engineers’ U.S. HQ will be located in the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) in St. Louis, Missouri, and they will create 20 new programming and engineering jobs, with hiring beginning in Summer 2018.
