The No. 1 State for Business
Georgia is proud to be named the “Number One State for Business” by two independent sources over the past several years. Site Selection magazine ranked Georgia “No. 1 for Business” seven years running (2013-19). With this win, Georgia set a record for the most consecutive top state business wins. This first place finish is based on an analysis of announced projects, the state’s tax climate and a thorough survey of site selection professionals.
Area Development magazine also named Georgia No. 1 for business – for six straight years (2014-19). And for each of those six years, the magazine also ranked Georgia No. 1 for Cooperative & Responsive State Government. Area Development’s rankings reflect the views of industry experts across a dozen characteristics of business-friendly states.
